A Morning With The Ford GT
We were fortunate enough to spend a cold fall morning with one of the most well-known cars produced. Rich with history, Ford originally developed the "GT40" in the 1960's to defeat Ferrari at The 24 Hours of Le Mans, which they successfully did from 1966-1969. This 2006 Ford GT was a modernized street eligible version with a similar paint job as Ken Miles car, who arguable won the race in 1966 with the support of Carroll Shelby. Shelby was instrumental in developing this race car and credited for bringing 4 successful victories to the Ford Motor Company.
Now this exact Ford GT has a story. Originally owned by the lead designer himself, Camilo Prado, and signed by Bill Ford and Carroll Shelby. It's rare you even see these cars on the road/in-person let alone get to shoot video and photos. Then to top it all off it's signed by a Ford, originally owned by the person who designed it, and signed by the man responsible for the legacy — Carroll Shelby. Wild morning for the ANIMA crew.
Thank you to Greg & Josh Miller for their time.
